The San Diego Community College Police Department is a State of California P.O.S.T. Certified Police Department. It is the largest and among the most progressive community college police departments in the state.We patrol and provide police services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on and around the three colleges, six continuing education centers and various San Diego Community College business offices, classrooms and properties across the City of San Diego.

The San Diego Harbor Police Department is the premier police presence in San Diego Bay, the San Diego International Airport (also known as Lindbergh Field), and on all Tidelands around the bay. Our jurisdiction extends through the five member cities of the Port District, which include San Diego, Chula Vista, Coronado, Imperial Beach, and National City.
The Special Units section provides detailed information about the responsibilities and procedures of our specialized units, such as Domestic Violence, Financial Crimes, Forensic Science, and Traffic Division. The San Diego Police Department has a full service crime laboratory which analyzes physical evidence collected at crime scenes. Laboratory staff trained in photography, latent print development, evidence collection, and crime scene reconstruction participate in major scene investigations.
