Welcome to the Muslim Community Center of Greater San Diego (MCC) revamped website. Although the design may look the same, we've been working hard to be able to provide you with a more robust website with many new features.
The San Diego chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-San Diego) recently took part in a day-long prayer and fasting event to promote peace sponsored by the Faith Leaders for Peace at the Federal Building in downtown San Diego. Throughout the day, event participants shared teachings on peace from our various faith traditions and invited congregations to join in the event.
The Islamic Center of San Diego is the largest mosque in the area. The regular prayer services are on Fridays.On Sundays, from12 noon to 1:00 p.m., there is an Introduction to Islam class. This class is designed as an introduction to Muslim beliefs and practices, especially for the general community. The class is conducted in English and is designed to allow plenty of time for questions. The atmosphere is informal and discussion is encouraged.
